A Little Intro

Okay, it’s been a long time coming. I’ve been planning to start my blog since, well, a good minute. I meant to chronicle my semester in London, travels throughout Europe, internship at a major women’s magazines (and all it’s Ugly Betty/DWP moments), et al. Regrettably, something called procrastination got in the way and I was singing tomorrow more than Annie. But alas, I have come to my senses and have realized that tomorrow ain’t promised; time to get crackin’ ahora. So, here it is: AroundTownBrown, what I hope will be a guilty pleasure for a lot of you in cyberyork. Come here to read my random thoughts on pop culture, daily randomness, shoes, fun with the girls, dating life (and lack thereof), frustrations, great buys at thrift shops and occasional celebrity interviews (which will probably be hyperlinked to some other website). And let me not forget, observations on why Chris Brizzel is hotter than the breath of this someone I went on a date with a few years back (and trust, this was like medieval, just devoured the whole kingdom, dragon belch breath. Gnarly.).

Part II
For those of you who know me, I’m Sierra Brown. Senior at the illustrious [*sigh*] Spelman College. New Yorker/Manhattanite. Freckle Faced. Journalist. Broke but somehow on a plane every other week. Funny. Working on getting my fashion mojo back (I think I left it in my high school locker cuz College has been…yeah). My short term goals are grandiose, but with good reason. At 20, the media has made me feel like my expiration date is somewhere before the ’08 elections. Therefore, I’m trying to get to point B (read: Ballin’) in a steadfast hurry. I’m imagining the way a fugitive slave might haul ass in a marathon to Canada, country border within eyes view. Do you see it? Yeah, I’m in that sort of rush.

Whelp, here it is. Tell me what you think as I bring you news from my perspective.
